Jason Roberts is one of our two Conservative councillors for Stanley Ward.
I have lived, in Blackpool for almost 50 years with half of this time living on Stanley Ward and serving on the Council for the last eight, in May.
I very much enjoy working with residents and business on the ward, to improve the environment we live and develop the ward in a sustainable way for the future, without losing the wards character. My youngest son attends St. Nicholas Primary, I in my early years grow up in our Town Centre supporting the running of my family hotel there. All of which has given me a diverse, unique, and extensive knowledge of our Town.
During the last ten years I have also been directly involved in the successful running of Stanley Wards not for profit social club. This allows me to interact with many residents of Stanley, helping to bring our community together, listen to view, to improve the area we live.
My professional background has supported me well in contributing to the Council Committees, that I have been involved with. However, most importantly it has supported me the most in developing the Strategy as a Board Member for Blackpool Airport, over the last 5 years. Aviation Industry and Regulatory knowledge is key in ensuring our town has a sustainable airport for the future, which is key at this time.
I am confident pace will now gather following our appointment of our new managing director last spring, an appointment I was directly involved with and lead. I am sure all the possibilities we have on our plan will be realised, in the coming years.
