Save the Summer Job

Labour's tax hikes and new employment laws are making it harder for businesses to hire seasonal staff, putting thousands of summer jobs at risk.

That's why we need to make it easier for businesses to hire seasonal staff and give young people a chance. We would:

  • Cut taxes, scrap employment red tape and end attacks on hospitality and tourism.
  • Repeal working restrictions on Sundays so young people can choose to work when they want.
  • Relax the window for evening work to 9pm.
  • Remove the need for red-tape permits to hire young people who deserve a chance to work.
